Munich Airport (MUC) is the big long-haul and connecting airport for Tyrol: arriving from overseas, from Asia or with an airline that does not fly to Innsbruck, you usually land here. From Munich to Innsbruck it is 200 km on the A8, A95 and the Inn valley motorway – two to two and a half hours by train with a change at Munich main station, about 2 h 20 by taxi with no changes, from the terminal to your front door.

Tirol Airport Shuttle drives the route at a fixed price per vehicle – for two people with ski luggage often cheaper than first-class train tickets and always more comfortable. For ski resorts in Tyrol (Seefeld, Zillertal, Stubai, Ötztal, Arlberg) ask for the fixed price via the form; German and Austrian tolls, waiting time on delays and child seats are included.

How the pick-up at Munich Airport works

Munich has two terminals: Terminal 2 for Lufthansa, Star Alliance and their partners, Terminal 1 for most other airlines. Your driver waits in the public arrivals area of your terminal right at the exit from baggage reclaim, holding a name sign – at Terminal 2 on level 03, at Terminal 1 in the arrivals area of the relevant module. We take the terminal from your flight number.

We track your flight; if it is delayed, the pick-up time adjusts and waiting time is included. For flights from non-Schengen countries we allow time for passport control and baggage – there is no need to hurry.

For the return transfer to Munich Airport we recommend leaving Innsbruck at least 4 hours before departure, for long-haul flights and on winter weekends 4 h 30.
