Selva and the Val Gardena
Selva (1,563 m) lies at the head of the Val Gardena below the Sella massif and the Sassolungo. It is the starting point of the Sella Ronda, the 40 km circuit around the Sella group, and part of Dolomiti Superski with 1,200 km of pistes on one ticket. The Ciampinoi and Dantercepies gondolas leave from the village; the Val Gardena itself has around 175 km of pistes including the Saslong World Cup downhill.
Santa Cristina and Ortisei are 3 and 8 km down the valley and are covered by the same transfer price. The valley's Ladin culture, woodcarving tradition and Dolomite scenery make it a UNESCO World Heritage destination in summer as well.

The journey from Innsbruck Airport to Selva
We take the Brenner motorway A13 south over the Brenner pass (1,370 m) into Italy, continue on the A22 past Vipiteno and Bressanone to the Chiusa – Val Gardena exit and follow the valley road through Ortisei and Santa Cristina to Selva. About 1 hour 40 minutes; on Saturdays in high season the last section can be slower.
The Brenner is a motorway pass and stays open in almost all weather. Bring your passport or ID card – the journey crosses the border into Italy.
