St. Anton and Ski Arlberg
St. Anton (1,304 m) is the cradle of alpine skiing – the Arlberg ski club was founded here in 1901 – and the main resort of Ski Arlberg, Austria's largest connected ski area with around 300 km of marked pistes, 200 km of off-piste itineraries and 88 lifts linking St. Anton, St. Christoph, Stuben, Zürs, Lech and Warth. The Galzig and Gampen gondolas start in the village; the Valluga (2,811 m) is the highest point.
The pedestrian village centre has the Arlberg's biggest choice of hotels, bars and restaurants – the après-ski at the MooserWirt and Krazy Kanguruh is legendary – and a railway station on the Vienna–Zurich line. Nasserein and St. Jakob at the eastern end of the village are covered by the same transfer price.

The journey from Innsbruck Airport to St. Anton
We take the A12 Inn valley motorway west past Telfs and Imst to Landeck and continue on the S16 Arlberg expressway through Pians and Flirsch to St. Anton – 95 km, about 1 hour 10 minutes. The whole route is motorway and expressway, cleared and gritted all winter; snow rarely delays the transfer.
St. Christoph on the pass, Stuben, Zürs and Lech on the far side are separate fixed-price routes 10 to 25 minutes further. During heavy snowfall the Flexen road to Zürs and Lech can be closed; the St. Anton road stays open.

- The Galzig gondola base is in the centre; most hotels are within walking distance, the free ski bus covers the rest.
- Ski hire is available at the Galzig base and throughout the village – the driver can stop on the way in.
