Brixen im Thale: SkiWelt and KitzSki
Brixen im Thale (794 m) is a village of about 2,700 inhabitants in the Brixental with two gondolas: the Hochbrixen lift into the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser – Brixental (around 270 km of pistes) and, at the Kitzbühel end of the village, the link towards Westendorf and the KitzSki area (233 km). With the combined lift pass that is one of the largest skiing areas in the Alps from a single village.
The village itself is quiet with a church, a swimming pool and hotels spread along the valley; Kirchberg and Kitzbühel are 10 and 20 minutes away.

The journey from Innsbruck Airport to Brixen im Thale
We take the Inn valley motorway east to Wörgl and follow the Brixental road through Hopfgarten and Westendorf to Brixen – about 1 hour 15 minutes. The valley road is a main road and stays clear in winter.
On changeover Saturdays the Brixental road can be busy in the afternoon; we plan pick-up times accordingly.
