Scheffau and the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser – Brixental
Scheffau (752 m) is a small, traditional village at the foot of the Wilder Kaiser, popular with families and with guests who want quick access to the SkiWelt (around 270 km of pistes) without a busy resort centre. The Scheffau gondola base at Blaiken, 2 km from the village, is one of the main entry points into the ski area and is served by the free ski bus.
The Hintersteiner See, a mountain lake below the Kaiser walls, and the winter walking paths make Scheffau attractive for non-skiers too; Söll and Ellmau are five minutes away.
