Innsbruck Airport to Neustift im Stubaital: Private Taxi Transfer

Neustift is the main village of the Stubai valley and the closest big ski destination to Innsbruck Airport: 26 km, about 25 minutes by taxi. Tirol Airport Shuttle drives you there at a fixed price, straight to your hotel, at any time of day or night.

Your driver meets you in the arrivals hall with a name sign and tracks your flight. Skis, luggage and child seats are included in the price.

Neustift and the Stubai valley

Neustift (1,000 m) stretches along the valley floor between Fulpmes and the head of the valley, with the Elfer lifts in the village and the Stubai Glacier – Austria's largest glacier ski area with skiing from October to June up to 3,210 m – 20 km further at Mutterberg. The free Stubai ski bus links the villages with the glacier, the Schlick 2000 area above Fulpmes and the Serles lifts in Mieders.

The village has ski schools, hire shops, a swimming pool and a good range of hotels from family-run guesthouses to four-star spa hotels; many guests come for a week of glacier skiing with a day trip to Innsbruck.

The journey from Innsbruck Airport to Neustift

From the airport we take the Brenner motorway A13 south to the Schönberg exit and then the Stubai valley road through Mieders and Fulpmes to Neustift. About 25 minutes – shorter than most guests expect. Hamlets further up the valley such as Milders, Krößbach or Falbeson add five to ten minutes.

The road is a well-maintained valley road, not a mountain pass; it is cleared quickly after snowfall.

Good to know

• The Stubai Glacier base station at Mutterberg is 20 km beyond Neustift – we also drive there directly from the airport.
• A return transfer from Neustift to the airport needs only 30 minutes; we still suggest leaving 2 hours before departure.
• For families the minibus with up to 8 seats and room for all the skis is often the cheapest option per person.
