The Stubai Glacier is Austria's largest glacier ski area and the closest one to Innsbruck Airport. Tirol Airport Shuttle drives you to the Mutterberg base station at the head of the Stubai valley at a fixed price – meet & greet at arrivals, flight tracking, skis and luggage included.
Most guests stay in Neustift or Fulpmes and go up to the glacier by ski bus; for a direct transfer to the Mutterberg base – for example to the hotel there or for a day's skiing on arrival – this is the route.

Skiing on the Stubai Glacier
The Stubai Glacier offers skiing from October to June between 1,750 m at Mutterberg and 3,210 m at the Schaufeljoch, with around 65 km of pistes, 26 lifts, a snow park and the Top of Tyrol viewing platform at 3,150 m. The 3S Eisgratbahn gondola takes skiers from the valley to 2,900 m in a few minutes, and the glacier is the traditional early-season training base for race teams.
The Stubai Super Skipass also covers Schlick 2000 in Fulpmes, the Elfer in Neustift and the Serles lifts in Mieders.

The journey from Innsbruck Airport to the Stubai Glacier
From the airport we take the Brenner motorway to the Schönberg exit and the Stubai valley road through Fulpmes and Neustift to the end of the valley at Mutterberg. The valley road is a main road with regular ski bus service and is cleared constantly; the last stretch beyond Neustift is narrower but well maintained.
In heavy snowfall the upper valley can be closed briefly for avalanche control; our drivers know the conditions and agree the timing with you.

How do I get from Innsbruck Airport to the Stubai Glacier?
The simplest way is a fixed-price taxi directly to the Mutterberg base station. By public transport you take bus F to the main station and bus 590 up the valley, about 1 hour 30 minutes plus waiting time.
Is skiing possible on arrival day?
Yes, if you land in the morning: the transfer takes you to the base station, where ski hire and lockers are available, and you can ski until the lifts close.
Do you also pick up at the glacier for the return?
Yes – we pick you up at the Mutterberg base or at your hotel in the valley at the agreed time.
