Zell am See and the Schmittenhöhe
Zell am See (750 m) is a small town on the western shore of Lake Zell with a pedestrian old town, lakeside promenades and the Schmittenhöhe (1,965 m) directly above it – around 77 km of pistes with a famous panorama of thirty 3,000 m peaks. With Kaprun and the Kitzsteinhorn glacier it forms the Zell am See-Kaprun region and the Ski ALPIN CARD with 408 km of pistes including Saalbach and Fieberbrunn.
The town works well for mixed groups: skiers use the lifts in town, non-skiers have the lake, the spas and the shops.
